Fix parallelExtract after terra switch #73

I couldn't get terra to run in parallel so I've just removed it. But should probably go back and fix it. Maybe I'll check Jack's code.

This isn't happening because terra doesn't do parallel. Will revisit when terra does introduce parallel.
