N1P/NTP is going away June 19, 2023 #17

NWS is removing N1P, so we need to boggle what to do..

OHA -> 16 level 2km DAA -> 256 level 0.25km

for NTP:

DTA -> 256 level 0.25km

So maybe we could do the legacy N1P generation from DAA, or just drop N1P all-together. I never really used N1P that much on the IEM and am unsure of downstream users.

Given that:

  1. I do not archive these composites
  2. They actually are not exactly right with regards to values and units, sigh
  3. The MRMS products are much higher quality and more useful

I am just going to start generating real-time only DAA/DTA and not generate the legacy N1P,NTP from them.
