Add a way to switch device profiles? #1

Hi, I'd like to use this widget, but it doesn't seem to work for my laptop when sending audio over HDMI. To switch to HDMI, I'd normally have to open System Settings and go to "Multimedia->Audio Volume->Advanced->Profile" and change the profile to "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output". This widget seems to only switch audio devices and the only audio devices available are "Speakers" and "Headphones".

The functionality of this widget is very basic right now. So there is no support to switch between profiles/ports yet. But of course I will make this possible soon. Stay tuned. :)

Hey, Any update on this?

Seems like duplicate of #9. Well, technically #9 is a duplicate of #1, but that one has screenshots.

To switch to HDMI, I'd normally have to open System Settings […] and change the profile to "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output".

I feel your pain. I found a solution about it and documented it in my blog. Essentially, it's possible to create a custom Alsa/PulseAudio profile that enables all output ports at once.
