After focusing a different window, waiting an indeterminate amount of time, and returning to gtop, the sorted process list displays the bottom of the list. It's still sorted in descending order, but shows the bottom rather than the top. I have to press 'c' twice to see the most intensive processes: once to flip to ascending order, and then back to descending, where it shows the top of the list again.
