Linkedin Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/akshat-parikh-158286234/ - I hope to connect with you Mr. Yeung.

AP CSP FINAL REFLECTION:

skills you have obtained: In my year at AP CSP, I acquired a wide range of computing and communication skills. In terms of computing, I developed proficiencies in Python, JavaScript, full-stack development, HTML, organizing notebooks, utilizing GitHub, SQL, and numerous other areas. Additionally, this course provided me with valuable communication skills such as teamwork, collaborative thinking, initiative, ideation, and more. Overall, my experience in AP CSP enabled me to gain an extensive set of skills in both computing and communication, thanks to the diverse knowledge I acquired throughout the year.

highs and lows from year: At times, it was hard for me and my group to initiate our project and get things done. I would say my first trimester was the hardest since we were all knew to the class cirriculum, and it took a while for me and my team to adjust and correspond accordingly. As for highs, my second trimester group was probably the best group I have ever worked with, my scrum master, Azeem Khan, is an exceptional programmer and I highly respect his advanced knowledge regarding computer science. My other team members, Ahad and Josh were also very smart and overall we were able to execute very efficiently as a group and launch the TripleAJ Arcade.

future plans with CompSci: By taking this class I started to develop a passion for computer science, I want to pursue a career in computer science potentially not just for the money but to innovate and create disruptive technologies that introduces a new concept and a new method of doing things in our society today. I believe code/programming (both) can be used as leverage in today's world, because anyone from anywhere can learn it and create a product that may be extremely influential and popular. We all have access to this knowledge, and we can potentially build big things from it. Currently, I am starting to work on a new project that helps users review medications and cannabis by having the feature of personalized reviews for each user, this is done by simply matching significant descriptors with other users. I plan to learn many topics: Java, C, Dart, and R in the coming years as well as grasp an understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts. There is a lot of learning in this field and I have a lot more to learn, I'm probably not even 1% knowledgeable of what I plan to learn.

future plans in Education/Career: Through my education and professional journey, I aspire to develop a profound insight into my true passions. While it may seem conceited or cliché, I genuinely believe that work should be approached with the same enthusiasm as play, an activity I eagerly anticipate each day, regardless of the circumstances. In my particular circumstances, my intention is to utilize my education to guide me towards a career that brings me pure joy and fulfillment.

other, you pic: I also hope to gain an understanding of computers and software more summer by doing these three things:

  1. Testing Games @ Broadcom: Broadcom is a very reputable technology company specializing in the semiconductor/chip industry. By working with experienced tech professionals and learning about the technology they're building, I hope to get a deeper understanding for the field of computer science.

  2. BestBuy: I am working a minimum wage job at BestBuy where I am a Computer Sales Associate, I hope to learn more about computers and computer engineering overall.

  3. Personal Project, which will require me to learn Dart or Swift, as well as UX/UI with Figma. I hope to gain a lot more experience with computers, programming, and designing while working on my personal project.

Overall, I want to thank Mr. Yeung and Mr. Mort for helping me be more interested and passionate in the field of computer science and how I can use it as leverage in the real world. I hope you guys have a great and enjoyable summer!
