Hey, I am interested in contributing to this. I have a keen interest in computer vision and deep learning, and I feel this is right up my alley. Could you please assign it to me?

hkcs1206 commented 1 year ago

I am interested in working on this as I already made a drowsiness detection system in my recent project, so kindly assign it to me.

@akshitagupta15june I have worked with many facial recognition datasets and drowsiness detection is a quite complex one and I would love to learn and implement it to solve this issue firsthand.

Hi @akshitagupta15june , iam a SSOC23 contributer and I would like to resolve this issue

Can you assign me this issue? Or any other issues you might have? Heres My Resume which you might find useful: Resume

Here is my background in ML: 1) 6 months plus experience in working under college professors for research project on medical image classification. 2) Got 228 global rank in Amazon ML Challenge 2023 out of 30000+ teams participating. 3) Experienced with trainig machine Learning Models. Including image preprocessing techniues such as histrogram equilization, augmentation, stationary wavelet transformation, image segmentation. Along with feature extraction from models like resnet50 inceptionv3 vgg16 etc

Looking forward to hear from you.

@akshitagupta15june I'm a contributor under gssoc 2023, could you take a look at my proposal? Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. FaceX currently does not have a driver drowsiness detection system. This method could be helpful in better driving & industrial practices where human supervision is always needed.

Describe the solution you’d like The Proposed method would involve using time between eye-blinks along with posture change to tell if the driver is drowsy or not. The network will be implemented with a multi-layer perceptron network. Along with this, the model will be quantized to ensure better performance on mobile devices.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered Some alternatives that could be considered include using other physiological or behavioral indicators such as heart rate, breathing rate, or head movements to detect drowsiness. These indicators could be used in combination with eye-blinks and posture change for improved accuracy.

Approach to be followed The approach to be followed would involve collecting data on eye-blinks, posture change, and other relevant indicators from drivers under various conditions. This data would then be used to train a multi-layer perceptron network to detect drowsiness. The model would then be quantized for improved performance on mobile devices and tested for accuracy and effectiveness in detecting drowsiness in drivers.

Hey ma'am @akshitagupta15june I would like to contribute in this issue under the SSOC'23 please assign me. I will be making a driver drowsiness detection system. A countless number of people drive on the highway day and night. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, truck drivers and people traveling long-distance suffer from lack of sleep. Due to which it becomes very dangerous to drive when feeling sleepy. The majority of accidents happen due to the drowsiness of the driver.

So, to prevent these accidents I will build a system using Python, OpenCV, and Dlib which will alert the driver when he feels sleepy.

This system will alert the driver when drowsiness is detected.

I would like to propose taking on the implementation of a drowsiness detection system. Given my keen interest in ensuring workplace safety and my experience with similar projects, I believe I can successfully contribute to this important initiative. I look forward to discussing this opportunity further and demonstrating my capabilities in implementing an effective drowsiness detection system.
