I made some progress to support multiple cameras, but i need some tester and
ideas to implement it.
First step i add a menu to select current device, but still just a single
device can be controlled.
If somebody have time to do some tests send me a email.

Great.

Regarding the testing, I will try to get 3 of 4 cameras to test. if more good.

Some ideias.

Control several cameras even if they are diferente models
 - shot all at the same time
 - shot in sequence, the frist shot and then one after the other until the end
 - start to record videowall at the same time
 - download the pictures to the PC

Regards

I can confirm that multiple cameras work using a D5000 and a D3000. Having some
of the features recommended above would be nice.

At this moment how many can you control? can we insert cameras with several ush
HUB's

Great job

Isn't any limit in application, theoretically 126 per usb port using hubs, but
to transfer 126 camera pictures take some time and this slow down extremely the
work flow,
but without transferring photos should work..

Cool.

Another questions, it's possible to synchronize the time of all cameras, and
it's possible if wanted to shoot one after another.

Thanks

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I will implement in next version time synchronization.
Yes you can set the delay bigger that shutter speed.

We are using the Nikon SDK and can control multiple cameras to trigger and
write the imagers to hard drive over unique USB ports. Unfortunately, the
Nikon driver will not actually process more than on camera at a time. So for 8
cameras, it takes about 4.5 second to complete. We need to capture and store
all of the images in parallel.

Have you solved this problem?

Thanks

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Hi, i don't use the SDK and i have just a single camera, so i don't know
nothing about transfer speed in multiple camera environment, but i'm sure the
transfer speed isn't limited by the software it self.

If you have time you can do some tests using this version:
