al-caughey / Google-Meet-Attendance

In early 2021, the Google Meet Attendance extension was purchased by another organization and I am no longer involved with the project. Support questions should now be sent to support@meet-attendance.com.

Google meet Attendance should download email addresses of attendees #121

Hello Support Team, We request you to add one more column to fetch the email address of attendees in the CSV file of Google meet Attendance.

That would be very much helpful to track the unauthorized person who joins meet with the name of Authorities.

Expecting your favourable reply,

With thanks,

Trupti

@TruHinge - That is not possible as, for security and privacy reasons, Google does not expose the email addresses publicly. If you would like the email addresses, I think they are provided in Google's attendance, available with an Enterprise-level account. Also note that as long as you are the one to open the meeting (making you the host), you have the ability to deny unauthorized people access, and, as the host, you can turn off Quick Access meaning only invited people will be able to enter the Meet.

@AlCaughey - the email address you wrote was automatically redacted. You may have to rewrite in non-proper email format.

Hello Al-Caughey/Google-Meet-Attendance,

Yesterday, one-two fellow joined my meet with name ex. Jon Wick and Jone Wick. It was impossible to identify who is the authorized one while conducting the meeting. Also, the unauthorized person wrote rubbish things in chat and left. Just to trace him, I need his email address so that strict action can be taken.

Expecting this add-on feature for the betterment only.

I get it. I've had that happen, too. Unfortunately, regardless of intentions, it's against Google's policy to make that information available. If you want that information, you would have to contact Google, or possibly (going forward) pay for an Enterprise account (I hear those accounts can get email addresses from Google when Google provides emails attendance after a Meet - an Enterprise feature). It's not that this extension will not add that functionality, it's that it cannot add it. Not possible.

One more thing...IF they were accessing the Meet from an address within your organization's domain, it's possible that your Google Administrator may be able to run a report that can give a partial email address. Might want to check with them.
