In early 2021, the Google Meet Attendance extension was purchased by another organization and I am no longer involved with the project. Support questions should now be sent to support@meet-attendance.com.

The first student to join is not getting recorded #66

Hi there. I really love using your attendance extension. However, it appears that the first student to join the meet is never getting recorded a present. I was wondering if you are aware of this or have a work around?

@DCGlasgow Hi. I know Al is aware of this, but hasn't been able to replicate it, so any consistency would help to narrow it down. It's only happened to me once. I also know that he's working on a rewrite, so hopefully this bug will not be in that version. But could you answer some questions about this?

Is it always exactly the first person to enter the Meet (after you)? Does this happen every time?
Do you primarily use a class list or let the extension auto-populate? Do you have sorts or auto-clear enabled in your settings? Do you use Grid View (fix) or do you have/use the new Meet feature for >16 people?

It is always the first person after me. It does not always happen, but it happens frequently. I haven't figured out what is the trigger for the problem, yet. I use class lists. Here are my settings: [image: Attendance settings.PNG]

Hmm...the picture didn't work. Maybe because you emailed it.

Also, do you use Grid View (fix) or do you have/use the new Meet Tiled layout for >16 people?

my settings: remove checks, auto-save htms, auto-save csv, auto hide 10, sort names by last, backup. I use gridview fix
