al-caughey / Google-Meet-Attendance

In early 2021, the Google Meet Attendance extension was purchased by another organization and I am no longer involved with the project. Support questions should now be sent to support@meet-attendance.com.

New reporting issues #88

First, thank you for this program, it has made our new teaching life a little more bearable. Over the last couple days I have noticed that my attendance is not recording, everyone is staying pink (I am logged in on two devices). At first it would just take attendance on one of the devices, but today it would not take attendance on either device. I even logged out and logged back into the meeting, it then showed green for attendance but it still would not record my attendance, I have it on HTML automatic setting. I do have grid view fix (couple of my classes are 50), the screen shot is just to show no HTML download option is showing up. I have a colleague having the same issue. Thanks again, greatly appreciated.

Interesting...nothing has changed in GMA for a few week. Google must have changed something on their end. @al-caughey?

Something I came across tonight trying to "fix" my attendance reporting, it is still not working. I am not that knowledgeable with how this stuff works (the nerd part). I noticed that the attendance recording does not work when I am using my school district email. But when I went to my personal email the HTML icon reappeared and was able to click on it. So, I am not sure if it was something with the update on your end that now my district email blocks it or if my school district has added some new restrictions on our settings.

Just to clarify, you mean that the Google account you are signed into when you are using Meet/GMA is either your personal one (works) or your school one (doesn’t work)?

Does your school district block extensions? In your school profile, does the dialog appear at all?

So, yeah my gmail.com account it seems to work, but my @sbcusd.k12.ca.us account is where it does not work.
Since the update: When I am logged in with my district email the extension opens and only records the people who are in the room at that time. It will not "monitor" the room. If new people arrive they do not show up on the attendance also the HTML does not appear. If you look at the attachment, it was from this morning when I joined it registered all the people already there. But even when the others joined the meeting it did not recognize them and no HTML reporting button. (I am logged in with my school district account). The limited knowledge that I have I think it is one of two things: 1- With the update there is something that doesn't work with the district settings and causing it to stop working. 2- My district updated their settings and now is blocking the extension causing it not to work.
