Let me know how the manual install does.
I dont know what the problem might be. The only thing I can think of is that on
the Mini 10v, the latest bios
version has problems during the install and it won't complete.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't have time last night. The install
appears
to go fine. I wonder if I'd have any issues if I just bypassed initial setup by
touching whatever that file is. I should try that before I reinstall again.
Also, I don't have the latest BIOS, because the latest BIOSes don't let me use
my 3G
card. (they seem to only allow Option cards and not Sierra Wireless cards to
initialize)

OK, I successfully installed via retail. If you give me your e-mail address, I
can
send you a list of the kexts I'm using along with my com.apple.Boot.plist.
In brief, I installed build 10A432 from a desktop onto my netbook hard drive.
I used
the shortest GMA 950 GFX/EFI string I could find. I used 27ae patcher on the
Snow
Leopard kexts. It turned out that in order to get them to load, I had to put
them in
S/L/E instead of Extra; I also deleted the non-patched kexts that lingered.
I haven't tried to get sound working.
When I started, with only the VoodooPS2 and fakesmc kexts, I couldn't boot
since the
CPU wasn't recognized. I used your NullCPU kext to resolve this. Then I had
an ATA
error, so I used Netkas' IntelPIIXATA kext. That wouldn't load without your
IOATA
kext, although I might be able to use an original copy from S/L/E.
I upgraded to 10.6.1 successfully, and patched my DSDT.aml. I am using
Chameleon RC3
with your nice Netbook-oriented theme!
Thanks for all your help. I now have an Acer netbook (AOD150) running Windows
7 Pro,
SnowLeo 10.6.1, and Ubuntu, alongside a storage partition. I have installed a
touchscreen, Bluetooth, and a 3G modem. My netbook kicks ass, in part thanks
to you.

Hi NighTalon
I am having the same issue as you with the reboot after install.
I restored a Snow Leopard retail DVD to en external USB hard drive while running
Leopard on the system. I then used the Bootmaker on the USB drive, rebooted off
it
and installed SL to my AOD-150. Reboots every time it launches video.
I would be grateful if you could please send me your kexts and describe to me
how I
go about solving this.
Many thanks

I need any help or instructions you can give me. The install seemed to go fine,
but I
am stuck rebooting and rebooting. Any help or explanation would be greatly
appreciated. Why are we seeing so many problems when the D150 is said to be the
most
supported system?? Email me if necessary lrodriguezvodak@gmail.com

To all having trouble with the automatic restarts... Make sure you have the
latest BIOS from Acer, Version 1.11. I
was having the constant reboot loop as well but after I updated my BIOS, it
worked perfectly.

So, funny story: I deleted a kext I thought I didn't need anymore, rebooted,
and now I
kernel panic. I think I restored all the necessary ones, so I don't know which
it is. I was
also having some trouble with the Intel GMA kexts, so I reinstalled SnowLeo
after
deleting the system folders, and I still have the same issue. I'm going to try
the beta of
this netbook installer and hope I don't permanently destroy my Windows
bootloader...oh
no.
