I really would like Filtering and sorting options for VODs.
Many have long multi-day VOD's of the same game.
Would want to be able to filter for the game they are playing which is marked and chaptered off, tags used and the title.
With a sorting option to at least reverse the order to oldest first in these use cases.
Playlists of VODs, I would like to be able to queue up multiple VOD's in a row or have the client recommend the next VOD to watch, which would be the next VOD of that game.
Watch states of VOD's seems to not be 100% stable, where the stuff I have previously watched and been marked as unwatched and so on. Best push the watch state to the twitch site and pull it from there as well. Sync manually or on every load of the VOD list.
Caching the list of VOD's and loading and updating the cache would be nice too as loading all the individual videos across a year or something sure can take a bit of time.
[ ] Filtering of VODs, game/chapter/tag/title/date
[ ] Reverse sorting option with Oldest first, perfect for use cases like the filter.
[ ] VOD playlist of multiple VOD's, allowing one to start after the other.
[ ] More stable Watch state syncing (export to cloud or folder or site?)
[ ] Cache the VOD list for better performance loading it.
[ ] Sync progress and watch-state more aggressively to not lose progress or watched markers.
[ ] Take use of Chapters (with UI elements in the timeline, if possible pull game/chapter title).
[ ] Mark muted sections in timeline.
[ ] Skip button (next chapter) to skip to next chapter and/or skip muted sections.
EDIT: I think the biggest issue with old VODs in Orion is that the VOD list scrolls all the way up every time you go to it, even when it's cached. Also, the scrolling is slow and don't accept it fast enough, scrolling slower is actually faster than scrolling quickly as I can. Seems weird in general.
By saving the position in the VOD list for the last video you watched could be a good start.
EDIT 2: Added a note about progress syncing as it is not aggressive enough at all, I constantly find it loosing the watch state of the VOD's all over the place. I think its cause sometimes I don't manually close the client. I am guessing that it's only saving that info when it's closing down but not when you actually use it, in anycase, it does lose its progress many many times over a month which is a pain if you can't pinpoint exactly where you are supposed to be.
EDIT 3: added 3 more points for chapters and muted sections.
