Summary

@soledadli has created a version of the homepage using a design co-created by @BrainonSilicon

Seee #208 and issuee #207

This issue is to create improved written content and additional written content for the design

What needs to be done?

[x] Content for “How to Use the Platform”
[x] Content for “About Autism” sensory processing, and what the project is
[x] Content for “How we use your data’
[x] Content for “Open Humans” - explanation for redirection
[x] Content for “Get Involved” - explanation of participatory science and links to take part as researchers

(R T d) show videos of people contributing in different ways and maybe for different reasons on the about page – “I’m imagining a vignette…of three different people…who take part for different reasons, with the idea that you should totally see some aspect of yourself across those three”) Include lots of useful information * Up-to-date with current research and proposals

Refer to other website for crisis management tools, calm, help etc. Make clear not interested in profit
(A g): Concerns about commercial use: “[put] a ringfence around potential commercial uses, because this is intelligence which commercial interests might want to get their hands on”
(A i): “people might be wary of contributing, because they might think people just want to make money out of my vulnerabilities” Lots of people prone to information overload – make this clean, and divide into near, clear sections! h) What would help? (A d): “if you were concerned about the welfare of someone… a section if you need advice or if you need help”

I've done a first version based on our discussions in the dev session, and following the community recommendations from the focus groups previous user testing comments and advice from OS. @JamesSCTJ if you could give it a look that would be great! It will obviously go through a lot more community co-working before the final version :)

Susanna - I would really appreciate your advice on this basic MVP copy too. Just a very simple version which we can add to the design Soledad made, and Robin will deploy - expecting to do lots of iterations and more detail before the launch and widespread!

This should probably be moved from an issue into a sensible part of the repo?

I would pop it in the ‘platform-designs’ folder inside a content based directory.

Ideally all design type work will land in there so that we can build a overall summary brief that can be updated as various parts of the platform get built.
