In batch details, we could have a candle stick plot with max, one std deviation up, mean, one std deviation down, and min. (Maybe not std dev though, because that would be symmetric. What's the right thing to do here?)
Could also visualise the distribution in other ways, such as violin plots or raw pdfs, although Tommy currently finds candle sticks the easiest to read.
The above methods ignore chronology. One option to see that would be to have the environmental variable plots from current batch details, but with multiple batches in the same plot. Other ideas could be developed too (dividing the growth period into stages?).
I think we might need a new compare-between-handful-of-crops page with visualisation like the ones described above, if switching between batch_details views is clumsy. This needs thought.
I'm also interested in exploring if we could make miniature visualisations like the above be part of the harvest list. Make the rows 3x higher, and have miniplots in columns?
