I have an background and interest in all aspects of data quality, data integration, and data curation. One of the main projects I’m currently working on is Vizier-DB, where we aim to build an easy-to-use data curation tool that combines ideas of spreadsheets and Jupyter notebooks. I also have some interest in reproducibility of scientific research.
At NYU I have been involved in three projects that build responsive Web front-ends for software (e.g. predictive models) developed by domain scientists. The Standard Cortical Observer, for example, allows colleagues at NYU to make their predictive models available for others to interact with them (e.g., run the models on their own data). If anyone has ideas about how to reduce development time for such applications I’m very interested to chat about that.
