Update from Jessie (forgot to park it here):
Thanks so much for the session yesterday, really looking forward to seeing how this evolves.
We agreed in the contract with Future Forums that the data collected would be open source. I’ve copied and pasted the relevant part in the contract:
The BSA agrees to publish the raw data collected from the survey, so that it may be used by others.
So we have no external barriers to moving forward. Please let me know if there is anything I can do next to help move things along.
@jessieontherun has both summary and individual responses, @crangelsmith I put them in an email to you, until we're absolutely sure it's open open
Story description
Please provide a high level description of the Turing Data Story In February 2022, the Events & Engagement team worked with the BSA's Future Forums to survey 2000 young people on their views towards AI and data science in society. This included 4 x face-to-face workshops with 40 young people and a professional facilitator. We asked the young people to explain their views towards new technologies and where they would like to see money invested.
Interested in the comments from those who do not believe AI will or currently is affecting them; AI does not exist; etc...
Which datasets will you be using in this Turing Data Story?
