Summary Sentence

Adding details of how to get website training and how to run events

What needs to be done?

Website information: The Turing website is edited and managed by the communications team. You can request edits to the website through Mathison which usually take a few days to appear. If you're new to the Community Building Team then you can request to get your website profile added to this page. It may be useful to request website training if you're going to need to edit the website regularly e.g updating your project page. The training run by Kim van Russelt gives you edit rights to the website and shows you how to use it.

Creating a new event If you're thinking of organising a new event (one off or regular) then you'll need to contact the events team initially. You can do this via a form on Mathison. The events team will then be in touch to discuss the event and clarify the event responsibilities. Often the Community/Project Manager will run the event but the events team will help with things like creating an event page on the Turing webpage etc.

I have included this information in the CM team communication planning document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yBsll1OeiNnzNwLwEHPQB0nVCZDVAs7hsScqeBo_pdo/edit#.

This info can be added in the website in one of the coworking/documentation sprints. Need to check @arronlacey if we have a schedule with agenda for the coworking calls.
