These are the changes that @pwochner and I made before, during and after teaching module nine this autumn.
Broadly, the changes are
Refactor the main mandel() function to try to make it more intuitive. This requires re-writing subsequent uses-of and performance-improvements-to this function so touches most of the notebooks.
Add more examples and explanation to the 0th notebook, rather than assuming knowledge of the Mandelbrot set.
Add exercises, in their own notebook.
Move some lesson content to self-study notebook as there is too much to cover.
Add introductory section on concurrency before parallelising with numba.
