I've asked on the TPS RCM slack channel for a process we can transfer form other COPs.
for the postdocs I usually meet them in person and just take them roughly through that doc tbh with a follow up email like this after: So nice to meet you both today and hope the rest of the day was good! Just sending over a couple of links as discussed: Google folder link here. I’ve attached the onboarding doc as a PDF so you can access for now Turing-Roche newsletter sign up link. You also might want to sign up to the Turing health newsletter- link here- scroll down on this page Partnership YouTube channel which has past recordings of knowledge shares and Rohan’s demystifying video. As mentioned if you’d be interested in doing a demystifying video let me know- can basically be on any topic related to the partnership If you can email me a headshot photo, title and brief biography/background of yourself I’ll get your profile added to the Turing website so you can be included on the Turing-Roche webpage The Turing Interest Groups are here- they are a good way to get to know people with similar research interests across the Turing I’ll be available on email/slack if you need anything else
for the funded projects me and Alvaro ran them through project management and community management bits- so bit more formal. slides here
Copy of onboarding checklist for TPS-RCMs. This template is coppied and edited through the onboarding. Need to edit this down for our purposes.
This issue should be created by new Community Managers or collaborators of the Turing's Tools, Practices and Systems programme who have discussed their potential engagement and participation within the Open Research Community Building Team. Other members interested in the work of this team should engage with the team members via The Turing Way project and community resources - see details on The Turing Way GitHub repository
Thanks for sharing this checklist, @cassgvp. Flagging that we will probably want to align/consolidate this with our ways of working document. See issue alan-turing-institute/tric-dt-hub-team#13
Include onboarding into this repo (scope, preferences, requirements, co-working) - thanks @ZGGhauch !
Include email address for group emails to the TRIC-DT researchers: tric-dtresearchers@turing.ac.uk. Any new starters who are researchers should be added to the list. (Thanks @kdecesare2 !)

Janine confirmed adding new researchers to the list would sit with PMU
Before this work progresses, I think it would be sensible to ensure alignment between a version of this process for the project pages and the work that @kdecesare2 has been doing for the operational handbook. I propose we use a co-working session in the New year to do this.
Develop and document the onboarding process for new community members. Note this may be different for folks at different levels of "proximity" to the TRIC-DT (e.g. PDRAs vs external interested researchers!).
This might trigger the set up of our even series and comms channels. Split this off into a separate issue if necessary.
