Why slow loading ?

Hi. My laptop died so I am running on a loaner at present - no PHP etc environment available. :-(

I am not sure why the images are not coming up. If you reload the page do they show later? I am wondering if related to the "slow" side of things. (Are things timing out.) But I cannot try it myself right now due to dead equipment.

Regarding "slow", in developer mode we generate lots of files on the fly, then the second request has them cached. (More work is going on here.) I have not got back to trying some different variations. For example, some people reported more success not syncing the file system, but instead running Samba to export the file system for Windows to mount. That runs much faster apparently. Its a known performance problem with VirtualBox. I am not sure that is the problem you are experiencing but would be my first guess.

There are some other vagrant images other people have been experimenting with. They may be worth trying as well.
