What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is expected? What do you get instead?
Expecting that the compass will move according to the reading of the magnetic
sensor of the phone. Instead it remains motionless. Even if the phone is
brought into a strong magnetic field.
What version of the product are you using?
1.5
Please provide any additional information below.
Phone is Samsung Galaxy S+. Magnetic sensor of phone works fine with other
compass applications.
