I'm pretty sure you get an out of memory error but can you send m a crash file
- it should be created in SD card root. Anyway do you indeed need all 1500 maps
at once? You should consider splitting them in several folders and selecting
suitable folder in the Folders Preferences.

It's not a super solution.
Oziexplorer android beta version does not have this problem or the problem of
outdated memory.

No, you have not need to restart, it will reindex selected folder.
Every application has its strengths and weaknesses. :)

You should create additional directories on the same level as current map
folder. It should look something like this:
maps
maps2
maps3
more maps
other maps
tracks
routes
waypoints
