Indexing 1500 maps causes application crash #78

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps to reproduce the problem?

When opening the software with 1500 cards in the folder "maps"

1. consideration of the 1500 files gives a total cessation of the software

What is the expected result? What do you see instead?

The software makes an error stops

Which version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Fabrice

I'm pretty sure you get an out of memory error but can you send m a crash file
- it should be created in SD card root. Anyway do you indeed need all 1500 maps
at once? You should consider splitting them in several folders and selecting
suitable folder in the Folders Preferences.

thank you for your reply.

so if I have several folders, when I change the address of the files I must
restart my samsung galaxy that the case be considered?

It's not a super solution.

Oziexplorer android beta version does not have this problem or the problem of
outdated memory.

No, you have not need to restart, it will reindex selected folder.

Every application has its strengths and weaknesses. :)

thank you for your reply.

Can I put new files in the "maps"or I must put it somewhere else?
Such as on the external SD card?

Thank you in advance.

And all my encouragement for this nice application> long life!

You should create additional directories on the same level as current map
folder. It should look something like this:

maps
maps2
maps3
more maps
other maps
tracks
routes
waypoints
