Is this abandoned?

If it's stable enough why not just push it to final release?

By being in 'beta' you're getting far fewer downloads than this deserves.

Thanks for the comment and votes! Not abandonded, just been too busy elsewhere to finish off the last bits and the docs before proper release, but admit it has dragged on a bit!
