The App Store one has a nicer icon, I'd pay $2 for a nicer looking icon and bezel indicator.

Yes, I believe my application does much more, at least compared to the version which I tried long time ago.

I have properly acknowledge the iTunes app in the "About" panel. You can check yourself.

Best, Andrea

Just wanna say thanks. (= I use some Yamaha's HS5 as speaker at home and always had to switch to iTunes and cmd+arrows to adjust volume, today I finally decided to look for some app that could make it easier and I found your app.

About the issue @mkormendy created, I think he might have suggested that he's willing to pay for your app if you put it in the App Store with a nice icon. And I kinda agree with him. (= But it's nice that you don't want to charge for that.

Also, I tried to create a global keyboard shortcut but I think in Mavericks that's not possible anymore, only if you create a Service (which I wasn't willing to do it, just lazyness). (=

thanks again!

Dear Yuri,

I am very glad that you can enjoy my little app for free! :-)

I don't recall anymore why I decided to redevelop it after I tried the one on the Appstore but I kind of remember that I was not satisfied with that one. It was somehow more limited and there was no control possibility with the apple remote...

Enjoy your music.

PS: if you like to design an icon or someone can do it I will be glad to replace it. PS2: I don't understand what you meant by global shortcut... actually it should be possible but would you like to replace the volume keys with something else to adjust the volume? why?

Andrea, the idea behind creating a global shortcut was before finding your app. (= I tried creating a global shortcut but I found out that in Mavericks that's not possible anymore (I'm pretty sure I created some global shortcut in other versions of OS X).

Now I'm curious, why did you create this app? What circunstances do you use it? I mean, why do you change iTunes volume and not all volume (system)? My case scenereo is that the speakers (Yamaha HS5) are plugged via digital optical cable (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002JFN10/) into my Mac, so the volume keys (or the volume icon) doenst make any difference in the speakers volume, that's why I need to adjust volume in iTunes. haha

once again, thanks for the great app. (=

Dear Yuri,

I created this app exactly for the same reason you noticed. I have an airplay speaker and I cannot control the volume. I sit on my couch and I cannot even use the remote control to change the volume but I need to go to the computer, put my password, switch on itunes and change the volume to what I desire, all of it manually... of course this is a non sense by apple. Which had to be fixed :-)

I am glad that you enjoy it!!

All the best, Andrea
