Here he added in top.gg hope will help you guys: https://top.gg/bot/901739919498690582

If you want to support donate few bucks to that guy by reaching his server using top.gg

impressiveaustin commented 2 years ago

top.gg doesn't allow forked bots. However, the owner of the bot has been contacted and will fix the issue so it stays on top.gg, otherwise it will be removed.

I will be happy if the @albertopoljak allow this on top.gg as my friend continue to grow this else if top.gg removed as he got a warning then good luck people will host own, and i think no much people capable of this or less tech savvy anyway, it's non profit thing just to help people it's started not any earning related

impressiveaustin commented 2 years ago

you asked for donations for him hosting an already open sourced bot. also i dont think @albertopoljak can control the rules for top.gg, which is that forked bots cant be listed

ghost commented 2 years ago

It's just optional.... and my friend and tbh me don't care about top.gg they delist it or whatever we not getting anything as i said it's just to help not for profit for profit there are tons of other ways

You can do whatever you want as long as you follow the license https://github.com/albertopoljak/Licensy/blob/master/LICENSE.md

To recap from https://github.com/albertopoljak/Licensy#license

If you fork/download/host this bot and you CHANGED any of the code you must hold to this:

    Include copyright (see Authors)
You cannot claim this code as yours.
Include the same license (see LICENSE.md)
    State changes
any changes to the source code must be disclosed (public).
    Disclose source
you cannot take the code and make it private.
    Include install instructions
You can link to this readme or to your own instructions.

Only and only if you adhere to all of the above points you can:

Use the bot for commercial use
    Modify the source
    Distribute the bot
    Place Warranty

Just from the quick glance I can most probably say you're already breaking my license and as @impressiveaustin said you're probably breaking top.gg rules too.

So tldr; from my side you are free to self host the bot and even use it commercially as long as you don't claim it as yours, have a public repo for it and include reference this original repository.

Guess what we tried to create account to make repo in Github but due to a error sign up in Github we can't sign up, don't know it's mail issue or what later didn't tried

Your server does not even work on the bot.
