Just wondering why this was closed without resolving the compiler warnings.

Hi Richard, sorry for the late reply, I lost this notification in the mails, the problem was not in that part of the pull request, but in the fact that you performed some changes to the source code of the algorithm that were unecessary. Best, Alberto
