intel is know to have bad support for P2P on linux
This is what is expected for a proper driver supporting P2P
Supported interface modes:
* IBSS
* managed
* AP
* AP/VLAN
* monitor
* mesh point
* P2P-client
* P2P-GO
* outside context of a BSS
It look for that here:
https://github.com/albfan/miraclecast/blob/master/res/miracle-utils.sh#L112
If you're sure your hardware support p2p you need to find a proper driver
Thanks @albfan, any places to point me to how could I check if p2p is supported in iwlwifi driver and for my card? I tried searching myself but I couldn't find anything conclusive
Hi, res/test-hardware-capabilities.sh returns
Sorry, wlp3s0 do not support P2P
butiw list
does return P2P stuff. I was wondering if miraclecast would work on my machineIncluding dmesg, firmware and iw outputs
