What are the McTruth monitors and how are they different from the M monitors?

From what I can tell:

So I think my question is: which part of a particle's track are the McTruth variables read from? Just at start and stop points?

Sorry guys for late response!

McTruth has filtering. It can be customized within "MCTRUTH_FILTER" section
Yes M monitors are located in certain volumes McTruth is called by Track Action class, which is the creation of each track in the simulation.
