Feature request: on-chain token logos #17

Open ghost opened 4 years ago

Currently all token logos are pulled from eoscafe/eos-airdrops github repo, which is centralized and dependent on EOS Cafe's admins availability.

Alcor has a chance of setting up a new standard of on-chain token metainformation. A smart contract would allow token contracts or their issuers to update the token information, and all front ends would pull this information from the chain.

yes i also asked for this but as an NFT :) i made an example here where the immutable data had info for description, ipfs for image of logo, and max supply all added there in the nft with the category "descriptions" https://alcor.exchange/nft-market/order/347 image

This feature has been added, there are folders underneath the tokens directories for each chain.

Edit: Sorry didn't read first time, I don't see an issue here, but I think what you're looking for would be possible with adding a link as a option, but you're better off to just go directly to wax and try to get them to add it or whatever chain you want. For a chain to have a standardized ipfs address link of a token is actually a pretty good idea.
