I couldn't resist trying out this feature, so I transcribed an excerpt of a saxophone quartet I found sheet music for and added it as an example score. Fun stuff to play around with! This quartet is in Bb major, but the saxophone parts are written as if they're in C (for the soprano and tenor saxophones) and G (for the alto and baritone saxophones). Thanks to the transpose
attribute, I was able to transcribe the notes as written, without having to transpose them in my head, which was very convenient.
For issue #21 . Just to make sure, Alda does use the
midi-note
andpitch
of a note to determine what to actually play, right?
