the Skill testing is enabled in "Development" does not stick. I always have to go in and change it from off the development

aldadic commented 2 years ago

That's really weird. I tried to recreate the issue (even on a different account), but I couldn't: Once I set Skill testing is enabled in: to Development, it stays that way. In general, I don't think that this issue is related to the skill but rather is a problem of the Alexa developer console. I really hope that this was only temporary. Do you still have this problem?

Vansmak commented 2 years ago

it may have been because I was logged into dev console on 2 devices at dame time. I've been away this week so haven't played with it since

aldadic commented 2 years ago

That might actually be the issue. Please post an update once you tried it again, I'm really interested to know if this solves the problem.

Vansmak commented 2 years ago

yeah that was the issue as far as that goes. now this bigger issue is getting the automation to fire every 5 minutes from HA. after awhile the echo home creek returns and stay on indefinitely

I guess you are talking about the blueprint I posted in the Home Assistant Community Forum. Have you checked your Home Assistant logs when this issue occurred? This would help me to diagnose the problem. Since this issue likely isn't related to the skill, I will close it now and suggest to troubleshoot the problem with the automation in the Home Assistant Community Forum.
