KML examples are not validating #445

Which products are relevant to this feature request?
Most of the examples at https://code.google.com/p/kml-samples/ including 
continents.kml.

What should this feature enhancement do?
KML files should be valid. Validate example kml files with 
http://www.kmlvalidator.com/home.htm

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or
similar, result?
