Add root.os and root.dist to appease Travis config validation. #138

OSX travis seems to be globally broken at the moment.

Ah, that'll make life tricky as I don't have a mac at home - was relying on travis to do builds for the mac.

Good to see you here again by the way..

I've merged this change into PR #144 - which also disables the macos build under travis.
