Is it possible to choose how the backed up discs folders will be named?

I tried backing up some games using webman and noticed that unlike multiman, it ads special characters like ®, ©, and ™ to the folder title, and that makes it unfriendly with the FTP client like Filezilla and even by Terminal in some terminals making them look completely wrong and blocking the transfer or even renaming them (not even the web interface helped).

If it's not possible to choose, can you implement this functionality or change how the folders are named to remove those special characters?

You can test if this build does what you want. It removes any non ANSI characters in the game title read from PARAM.SFO. webftp_server.zip

I should install this and then try to backup a game? Or if I rename the game folder to have the unfriendly characters back it would provide results? I have used multiman "OS" to rename the games.

Yeah I just realized there's no ®©™ on ps3's keyboard. I'll dump another game and test.

Also, there's no issue in trying to replace the server from the server itself? Or should I use MMOS to do the switcheroo?

Yeah, just for idk I'm paranoid. I have copied the new server to the music folder (reckon it's a place the system wouldn't look for a plug-in (if it does look for on any other folders besides the plugins folder that is)) and unloaded Webman, on MMOS I did the switcheroo and loaded webman again. Now I'll let the system dumping a disc here. I'll go to bed and let it doing it's thing.

I realized I don't need to wait the whole game to dump, I can simply start the dumping and check the folder it generated and yes, it's without the unfriendly characters.

It worked!!!
