Issue with CDDA tracks (ps1_netemu.self problem) #414

Open Yafte777 opened 3 years ago

Yafte777 commented 3 years ago

In the latest version of webMAN MOD (1.47.30) there seem to be problems with loading CDDA tracks. They sound like scratches. It happens to me with multiple titles like Tekken, The Lion King: Simba's Mighty Adventure and especially with Megaman X3.

Thank you

EDIT: After some tests I found that the problem happens when loading the games with the ps1_netemu.self, with the ps1_emu.self it seems to work without problems.

Hello @Yafte777

Some games work better with ps1_emu, while others have better compatibility with ps1_netemu. That's why webMAN MOD implements the option to select the emulator pressing L2 for ps1_emu or L2 for ps1_netemu

The CDDA is related to CUE sheet, If you want to compare the results, the build 1.47.25 or earlier parse the CUE in a different way.

you might also be able to use the cd magic method to make the entire ps1 game into a single bin and cue file get cd magic from emuparadise (i can link you to the backup i have on my megaNZ cloud storage if emuparadises link don't work) click file open look for the ps1 game and click on whatever it shows click on file save as and save it where ever you want to naming it the game name once it's done you will have a bin and cue which usually works best in the ps1 emu
