Ties, DQs, etc. cause problems with just using the score value to determine the winner on the page.
Instead, use metadata from div classes, in particular
class="hot-heat-athlete ... hot-heat-athlete--waves-0"
class="hot-heat-athlete ... hot-heat-athlete--eliminated"
class="hot-heat-athlete hot-heat-athlete--advance-winner"
