Won't fix, because even if the trimmed text is extracted from a hidden input and inserted as part of the message, many actions, like pressing Ctrl+A or sending it will cause a duplicate inclusion of the quoted text. GMail's code is far too obfuscated (thanks to Closure) to find the handler and invoke it instead of programmatically clicking the button.
