That's an interesting idea, I'll consider it.
Well Tor has a setting to prefer onion site if it's available and declared/registered by the clear web and automatically open them (Tor browser settings/privacy&security/onion services)
But bookmarks would be nice. One method could be to open the links in batches right click on a tab and bookmark all tabs. A better way would be to open all the links, close them before they load and then go to browser setting 'manage history' and select all of them right click and bookmark all. But this would all still require manual name entry. Perhaps there's a way to script it?? I don't know how to write a script... In any case opening this github page is not much different to opening a bookmark list, however bookmarks are easier to search.
Perhaps an onion site for this list of onion sites that is automatically merged with githubs updates and searchable. Is better than a tonn of bookmarks?
I use Tor Browser on many different computers and it feels like I'm searching for 'onion dont suck' all the time to go to one of the sites on your list. Wouldn't it be nice if there was an easy way to bookmark all the links in this list in Tor Browser?
I would gladly bookmark them all the hard way, export the list and submit it to the repository. But I assume you wouldn't be interested in a file that would have to be updated manually every time README.md is.
I did a bit of searching, but wasn't able to find an easy way to generate a Netscape Bookmark file with all the links in the list. There are Firefox extensions for bulk bookmarking, but I wouldn't want to add any of those to Tor Browser. (Also, it turns out to be a bit inconvenient that the links in the list don't have titles; the URLs usually aren't descriptive themselves.)
Anyway, if you agree that it would be nice to be able to quickly bookmark all the onion sites in the list in Tor Browser, can you think of how that could be accomplished? And if so, I would be nice if this repository included instructions for that (or a Netscape Bookmark file), no?
(Why aren't all these links bookmarked in Tor Browser by default anyway!)
