We use the dbus methods instead of spawning commands and react on changes from asusd, too.
gex also reacts on changes of the dGPU power state so you know when the dGPU consumes power.
We also already integrated supergfxctl (successor to asusctl's graphics management) and basic power profiles support from the upcoming changes in the Kernel and Gnomes powerprofiles that will get used in the future.
