Strange behavior of MaSurCa for hybrid assembly #263

hi

I noticed a strange behavior of MaSurCa for hybrid assembly. I have 10 samples (they are all different for sure), each sequenced using both Illumina and MinION and i made hybrid assembly using MaSurCa. First of all, the assembly took only couple of minutes which seems little unexpected and i have no idea why i am getting almost the same results for each sample. here is the report for all samples.

Sample 1) N50 658 348 Length 4 940 006 count 13 Sample 2) N50 658 352 Length 4 939 164 count 13 Sample 3) N50 779 981 Length 4 940 707 count 12 Sample 4) N50 658 348 Length 4 940 006 count 13 Sample 5) N50 779 981 Length 4 943 828 count 12 Sample 6) N50 658 348 Length 4 936 772 count 13 Sample 7) N50 658 352 Length 4 939 165 count 13 Sample 8) N50 658 348 Length 4 940 006 count 13 Sample 9) N50 658 352 Length 4 939 165 count 13 Sample 10) N50 658 348 Length 4 940 006 count 13

i would appreciate any help

Ok, i just wanted to share my experience on this. if you runing the MaSurCa for making hybrid assembly, dont forget to first creat a folder for your assembly and the run the script from there. Please do it separatelly for each assembly, otherwise you will get exactly same statestics for all your assemblies.
