Dear Damian,

I didn't know Firegento's Logger and only recently I am discovering several projects that are similar to mine or, to say better, whose intention is similar but their implementation is more complete :-)

An example is my https://github.com/aleron75/Webgriffe_Golive compared to https://github.com/magento-hackathon/Hackathon_MageMonitoring.

MageMonitoring is far more complete but my GoLive is focused on settings and checks many more of them also considering different stores scope, so I'm still giving it a chance to survive.

All this to say that I am very willing to improve and merge open source free extensions, we are here to give back to the community after all.

My magelog extension was born as proof of concept for a chapter of a book I am trying to write about Magento, so I have to leave it there as reference at the moment but I will give a look at firegento's logger and try to understand if I can give any contribute and merge ideas.

What's more another proof of concept could be that of integrating Monolog ( https://github.com/Seldaek/monolog) with Magento; at the moment it is only an idea but let's consider that possibility.
