I have this problem too, but I'm using Vista 32-bit. I don't think the problem
is
specific to 64-bit computers.

I'm running Vista 64-bit and got it to install without a hitch. The only issue
I'm
having is that my touchpad apparently isn't supported (2008 HP dv7t). I got a
message telling me so after I restarted my computer and tried to reinstall to
get
some/any effect at all. Nada.

Tried to install it again as an administrator, and this time it worked!
I am not sure whether I tried to run it as an admin last time, since I'm sort of
habituated to that programs know whether they need to run with admin rights or
not
(controlled by the manifest file).
But I've also updated my driver to version 11.2.15 (17Oct08) in the meantime,
so this
fact also comes into consideration for why the installation worked for me this
time.

solved!
use this driver:
(12.2.3.0) http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15103
use the most recdent version of twofingerscroll (1.0.6)
and when installing twofingerscroll, right click and select "run as admin"

YOU DON'T HAVE TO INSTALL DRIVERS. JUST RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT "RUN AS
ADMINISTRATOR"
AND IT WILL WORK. I HAD THE SAME MESSAGE, DID THE ABOVE AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY
NOW.
IT MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH PERMISSIONS.

SAME AS TUMBLESTUFF.

Not a driver issue at all. Simply windows being a pain in the ass as usual,
Just run
as admin
