Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Motorola Droid 1

Which firmware is installed?
Hope I'm answering this correctly. Android 2.2.2

What version of wireless tether are you using?
I tried 2.0.7 and 2.0.5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.turn on wifi tether
2.search for available wireless networks
3.put in network pass word. Windows says cannot connect to "name of network"
(i.e. SSID name)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected to be able to connect. windows will not connect to wireless network.

Please provide any additional information below.
Device was definitely rooted.I have rooted My OWN Droid and connected to
wireless tether with no problems. Also, my HTC Thunderbolt. And two HTC EVO 4Gs
and 1 Samsung Vibrant. All without issue. MY Droid was on a custom rom. The
Droid that I'm having a problem with is not. It is running the Stock rom
rooted. The other phones I mentioned above were all running stock roms rooted.
The only variable that I can think of is that the Droid I'm having a problem
with has an anti virus program on it. Could that possibly be the problem? I had
the owner "force stop" it. However, I'm not sure if it just started back up
automatically. Do you think it's the anti-virus program or the fact that he is
on a stock kernel?

Our app creates on the droid1 an adhoc-network. Some intel-based wifi-cards
have problems "joining" such networks (especially with win7).

Check our FAQ ...

and/or this issue

So. If you have intel-card built-in try to update your wifi-drivers. This will
(most likely) solve your issue.

Good luck.

Thanks for your quick response Harald. I neglected to tell you in my original
post that I in fact did connect to the same laptop with MY device through
wireless tether. I have an HTC Thunderbolt. If I'm not mistaken, the app
creates an ad hoc connection with my device also. So, I'm not really sure if
it's the laptop. Side note: I connect to my Windows 7 PC all the time with
wireless tether. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks
for a great app.
