Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung conquer 4g
Which firmware is installed?
2.3.3
What version of wireless tether are you using?
v3 beta
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start tethering
2. no signal shown for wifi (instead of Ad-hoc which isn't compatible for my
Acer A100 tablet)
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would like to be able to have A Samsung conquer 4g "device profile" that will
work with the wifi on my acer a100 tablet. Standard Ad-hoc is not supported on
my tablet. I need an actual wifi signal.
Please provide any additional information below.
I rooted my phone, downloaded the beta app because I read it'll work better
with Android tablets. Selected all the Samsung phone/device profiles available
and one was able to display a wifi signal my Acer Iconia tablet was able to
find, but when I tried to connect to the "androidtether" wifi signal is was
stuck on "obtaining Ip address". Not sure which profile I was using that almost
made it work.. :/
Please help, as I only have a few days left to return my Acer tablet if I
cannot get this to work with wifi hotspot.
Thank you!

UPDATE: I used the "Samsung Fascinate" device profile and took off the WPA
security password then reset the Tether and got it too work! Only downside is
there is no security on it and I if I want to go in public with my tablet and
my phone the wifi connection is open to everyone with a hand held device to use
my wifi lol. Please help me figure out how to put a password on it and get it
to work with the password on it. Otherwise it's stuck on trying to obtain the
IP address and will not fully connect :)
Thanks!
