SSID not showing on kitkat 4.4.2

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung S3 sprint, non international version
Which firmware is installed?
cyanogenmod 11,M3. kitkat 4.4.2
What version of wireless tether are you using?
treve mod tether 3.3pre1 experimental
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.start to tether
2.no log errors
3.SSID not showing on laptop or other devices

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected to see SSID, no SSID shown on laptop
Please provide any additional information below.
tried the latest version but didn't work and other versions too but all started 
with errors, the current one installed started with no errors but SSID not 
showing.

Profile: Auto
Setup-method: Netd (master)
send Netd max client cmd: checked
wifi encryption: checked
SSID: changed
wifi driver reload: checked
MSS clamping: checked
Routing fix: checked

anybody got ideas or solution

I'm not sure if this will work for 4.4, and I know it sounds weird, but go to 
your wifi settings (wifi, not wifi tether), advanced, and uncheck scanning 
always available
