Not Root. Privileges problems.

Which firmware is installed?
2.0

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0 pre7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Turned on the Wifi
2. Opened the application
3. Message: Not root. Root privileges are needed to run this application
4. I clicked Ignore.
5. I pressed Start.
6. Message: Unable to start tethering. Please try again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should have worked but it didn't.

Do you have root access on your phone.  You can't do it without root.  You also 
have to 
have a custom rom with the proper kernel installed.  You didn't specify that 
you 
already have these things, so I'm assuming you don't for now.
