Do you have User Account Control enabled (it is on by default in Windows 7)?
If so, then the program may not work if it is within certain directories such
as anywhere in one of the "Program Files" folders. Please try extracting a
fresh copy of EOF 1.71 to your desktop and try opening it from there to see if
the problem still occurs.

I extract it in my Desktop. It works, but I need to configure the compatibility
with Windows XP SP3 and execute it with 256 color depth. If the color depth is
higer, the program will not work (I tryed to disable UAC, but nothing).
Thanks for reply me!

I am able to run it perfectly fine on a Windows 7 x64 computer without having
to change any compatibility settings at all. Have any previous versions of EOF
worked on your computer? Does the current beta release
(http://www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=50698) work for you?
If nothing else, the beta version will create a log file in the EOF program
folder. If you can attach it here, it may help to identify where it's hanging
up.

EOF 1.4 version runs perfectly on Windows 7 but 32 bits on my old computer.
Now, the current beta release works perfectly! (On my newest computer WIN7 64
bit)
No need any compatibility.
Thank you so much!!

There have been so many code changes since 1.71 that I have no idea how to
determine what the issue is, but I'm glad the latest version is working for
you. Feel free to post an issue again if you run into any other trouble.
