The Data on the website is a bit strange regarding Importing wine to Vietnam. It shows the top 3 importers of wine to VN as being Malaysia (31%), Hong Kong (23%), and Singapore (12%), and a total market value of $101 mm.
This is strange to me for 2 reasons
Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore do not produce wine. Maybe they are agents/traders registered in these countries, but...
This still overshoots the VN customs data about wine imports by a lot (customs data shows market of ~25 mm) - coincidentally, basically the same amount as the rest of the countries combined in OEC's data - (From Chile, US, Australia, France, and Italy - sources that obviously would send wine to VN).
Any clarity about why OEC shows this data? Also, would the data usually represent the place of origin of the good or would it be represented by some traders/agents instead?
