Thank you for the patch. I'll apply this with your other suggested changes and 
release a new version of the DaisyReader shortly. It's also likely to include 
Swedish in addition to the existing set of languages..

I've applied both patches (issue 36 and 38). They work in the emulator but are 
apparently problematic on actual phones :( I'm investigating with the help of 
several users in Norway as I don't have a phone with Norwegian installed.
