NavigationButton-Flow Element Error converting between data types #437

Open Brando190 opened 4 years ago

I'm using the Navigation Buttons in a flow that has sub-flows. The Nav Buttons are being used for decisions on when to take the current flow the user is in next. My users are receiving an error when moving through the flows if they attempt to use the standard previous button to go back a screen. I would be glad to show this is further detail if you like. I opened a support case with Salesforce and they helped me identify the error being received as a Data Type mismatch error. I have included a link to a Youtube clip for the screen capture of the error. https://youtu.be/-ay6w8cjcZg

Debug Error Information Flow encountered an error when processing and converting between data types. Please check the flow and ensure all data types are matched correctly. 12:55:55.0 (211868040)|FLOW_ELEMENT_ERROR|Flow encountered an error when processing and converting between data types. Salesforce is working on improving how data gets handled when moving back and forth between flow screens. In the meantime, please review this article for more details.

@Brando190 can you give this a whirl with the new feature in Spring 21 that allows you to change the previous button behavior?

@adwhite75 thanks for the update we will look at this and see if it resolves the issue we were seeing
